Enter the 2019 GABW Young Entrepreneur Awards Competition

Maureen and Gord Haddock, in affiliation with Get a Bigger Wagon and the Edwards School of Business, are delighted to announce the second annual Get a Bigger Wagon Young Entrepreneur Awards competition.  Young people, ages 7 to 15, who own businesses, are encouraged to submit an entry as early as September 1, 2019, and no later than December 1, 2019. There are three categories and three cash prizes (see poster below).

Requirements are simple. Applicants should submit a one or two minute video telling our judges what they make, sell, or do and how long they have been in business. They will be asked to complete one to two pages describing their business, including a basic profit and loss statement. Please ask for more information at the Edwards School of Business contact email included on the poster.

The inaugural Get a Bigger Wagon Young Entrepreneur Awards competition was held in the fall of 2018. Watching the awards presentation HERE will provide motivation and excitement for young viewers. Award recipients will be announced to all entrants before the presentation date, but all applicants are encouraged to attend. Many youngsters who attended as participants last year seemed to enjoy meeting other entrepreneurial kids and felt inspired to improve or reinvent their businesses. For some, it was their first visit to the university. The 2019 awards will be presented at the Haddock Entrepreneurial Speaker Series, at the Edwards School of Business, in mid-January of 2020.

Please share this information with all of the young entrepreneurs in your life and contact the Edwards School of Business at entrepreneurs@edwards.usask.ca for your application forms and more information. A business student will be responding to inquiries starting on September 1, 2019.
